10am-5pm there is an on-call period with this shift and 5pm-9pm shift

Are you looking for a challenge?  Do you like variety?  If the answer is yes, you may be interested in the vacancies that London Borough of Bromley currently has in its Community Alarm Service for Casual Mobile Officers.  This is an emergency service that responds to alarm calls from our service users living in their own homes in the community.

As a Mobile Officer, you will also be responsible for installing and maintaining the alarms and pendants within the service users home. You will also be making routine visits to check client details to ensure all information is correct and up to date.

Ideally you will have some experience of working weekends and bank holidays.  You should also be able to write neatly and clearly and be a good communicator.  Part of your role you will be taking calls and information from our call centre and it is important that information is taken correctly.  Home location must facilitate a speedy access to the Civic Centre when on call.  You will need to be flexible as finishing times will vary according to any work or emergencies pending. You will also need to be able to use your initiative and to be able to confidently assess any situations that may arise and take the appropriate action, which may involve a level of personal care depending on the circumstances.

You will need to be flexible as finishing times will vary according to any work or emergencies pending.  At times you will be asked to cover additional shifts to cover Annual leave and sickness.

You will need a full driving license and an enhanced DBS check.
