Salary: NJC PO2 (SCP29 - 32) £42,771 - £45,750 FTE per annum

Contract: Permanent

Working Pattern: Full-time/Part-time

Reports to: HR Manager

Start Date: October/November

Impact Multi Academy Trust, based in Beckenham, Kent, is comprised of 5 secondary schools and 3 primary schools. All our schools have a shared educational ethos. We aim for everything we do to be grounded in our core values: Ambition, Inclusion, Collaboration and Trust. We are ambitious for every child. We put inclusion at the heart of our practice and believe that collaborating with and learning from others is crucial to the success of our schools.

We are looking for a dedicated Deputy HR Manager to join our Trust central team. The successful candidate will work closely with and support our schools, providing efficient, accurate operational and strategic HR advice to the school HR leads and Headteachers.

The role requires someone with a strong generalist HR background, ideally gained within the school sector. A sound understanding of employment law is essential, while knowledge of Teachers' Pay and Conditions and National Joint Council (NJC) terms and conditions would be highly advantageous.

Using your excellent communication skills, you will support school HR leads and Headteachers with casework and a wide range of HR queries. This is a varied role, encompassing both operational HR responsibilities and more strategic people-focused initiatives.

Ideally CIPD qualified (or with equivalent work-based experience), you will have broad experience of leading and supporting recruitment processes, managing casework, reorganisation and TUPE matters, and providing practical HR support and guidance.

As a self-motivated and hardworking individual, you will be able to prioritise your workload effectively, meet deadlines and remain calm under pressure. You will also play a key role in developing and upskilling school HR leads, ensuring compliance with the Trust's policies and procedures.

Additional benefits include:

·       Flexibility to work between home and our central office

·       Access to Cycle to Work scheme

·       Outer London Support Staff Pay Scales

·       Generous employer pension contribution

·       Continuous Professional Development

·       Access to Employee Assistance Programme (including on-site flu vaccination)

We are committed to equality of opportunity for all our staff. We particularly welcome applicants from ethnic minority backgrounds as we recognise the vital contribution that members of a diverse team make to our Trust. The range of cultural experiences, differing viewpoints and role models this brings is essential in our Trust and we recognise the gap that would be left in our offering without these.

Impact Multi Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Therefore, the successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, social media check, Barring Services and satisfactory references.

For any other enquiries or should you like to arrange a confidential discussion about the position, please email the HR Manager, Jo Demetris at jdemetris@imat.uk to arrange a time.
