Salary: £44,951 - £51,064 per annum plus £2,000 Golden Hello and an £2,000 Annual Retention Allowance

Looking for your next exciting adventure in Adult Social Care? The London Borough of Bromley are looking for an experienced Senior Social Worker to join our friendly and hard-working team as part of the new ASC front door model. Working in conjunction with the Initial Contact Team, Safeguarding Team and based in the Community Intervention & Prevention Hub.
The role is in the front door offering focused short-term intervention to mitigate immediate risk and ensure that residents ‘wait well’ when further complex care management has been identified. You will work alongside OTs in this new MDT approach, responding daily to referrals via the hub which deal with a broad range of Adult Social Care queries and referrals. There is focus on supporting the Integrated Care Network (ICN) working collaboratively with health partners to offer short term intervention in the community.

We are looking for a suitably qualified, professionally registered person, experienced in supervising and managing staff. You need experience of performance management and the ability and experience of supporting staff through complex and challenging casework.
You must have the ability and experience to maintain healthy relationships with partner agencies, particularly health, voluntary sector, and commissioned services. The ideal candidate should be conversant with different IT systems and know how to record information contemporaneously on social care systems.
You will possess excellent communication, analytical and written skills and be a problem solver, as well as be effective at prioritising, meeting performance targets and managing systems.
As part of a supportive management team, you will work to the requirements of the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act along with best practice, regular supervision, training, career development and the Council’s Appraisal model. You will be joining an ambitious service with strong leadership and clear lines of support. As part of the Bromley Promise, there will be a dedicated two week induction programme upon joining us, manageable caseloads, you will work in a small cluster team containing just five Social Workers/Seniors and one Team Manager and you will have dedicated time set aside for quality reflective supervision.
