Occupational Therapy Services at the London Borough of Bromley are seeking an enthusiastic and talented person to join our team. We have an exciting new role within our First Response Occupational Therapy Team for a role to support our extra care housing step down beds and hospital discharges into the community. There has never been a better time to join our stable, dynamic and supportive team, which consists of 40+ members of staff. We work together to share knowledge and aim for excellence for individuals accessing our services. The Occupational Therapy Team is located at our base at Bromley civic centre. We work in an agile way with a hybrid of office and home working, offering flexible opportunities for staff.
The role will involve assessing clients who have been discharged from hospital into the step down beds to ensure that they have the required equipment for discharge home and whilst in extra care housing. It will also involve assessing those clients who have been discharged home from hospital back into the community. Ensuring that they have the correct equipment at home and providing any minor adaptations they require. The Occupational Therapy assessments will include moving and handling assessments so competence in moving and handling is essential along with the ability to supervise less experienced staff.
